Milestones
2013 – New building opened, with canteen/multifunctional and social amenities rooms
2012 – Ress makes the largest individual investment in the family-owned company’s recent history:
- for technical production equipment, including 5-axis CNC machining centre, CNC automatic through-drilling machine and IT equipment
- for the construction of a timber storage building
- for numerous measures in the ecology area, to optimise the efficient use of energy and reduce CO2 emissions
2008 – Michael Ress assumes responsibility for the complete company
Significant investment in production facilities:
surface spray coating, panel sizing, vacuum drying chamber
Introduction of new CAD technology
2007 – Company split-up and renaming as Ress Möbelwerkstätten GmbH & Co. KG
2005 – Build-up of new IT infrastructure and introduction of an ERP system in all areas with integration of invoicing, purchasing and production; since then, ongoing extension and updating of the system
2004 – Michael Ress joins the company and assumes management responsibility step by step

1989 until now – Cooperation with Zoom by Mobimex:
Ress Möbelwerkstätten sets up German Zoom workshops as exclusive partner for Germany and selected export markets
1985 – Transfer of complete production and combination of the two production facilities at the current location in Bad Königshofen
Start of high-quality furniture production for Schönbuch
1978 – Second location opened in Bad Königshofen
1977 – Start of series production of furniture, launch of HOLZMÖBEL as the company’s own wooden furniture line
1974 – Extension of production facilities and capacity in Grosseibstadt (the second extension stage followed in 1981)
1973 – Roland Ress takes over the company and its management1953 First modern production facility built in Grosseibstadt
1948 – Company taken over by Ludolf Ress, with extensions to the joiner’s workshop in Grosseibstadt
1845 – Business established by August Ress in Grosseibstadt (first official reference); since then the company has been owned continuously by the Ress family
