Ress Möbelwerkstätten – a sixth-generation family-owned company that stands for active continuity and awareness of its responsibilities to human beings and nature.
For many years an intrinsic element in Ress’s corporate culture has been the much-valued cooperation with the Dominikus Ringeisen workshops at Maria Bildhausen, a former abbey that has devoted itself since 1897 to the care and support of handicapped people. About 180 of them have a place in the workshops, where parts for various models and certain complete products are manufactured and assembled for Ress.
Measures to protect the environment are also of supreme importance to Ress Möbelwerkstätten. They have included extensive investments to comply with the European VOC directive and Federal German emission protection law. This has led to conversion of the paint-spraying programme to use water-based paints, and permanent energy consumption reduction measures. These are valuable investments aimed at ensuring a healthy environment for future generations, and avoiding harmful effects on nature. If many fine trees continue to grow, some of them may later be used in the production of high-quality furniture and in this way too will give their owners lasting pleasure.
